MacEwan's English Student Conference
MacEwan's ESC is an annual conference led by MacEwan English students. The conference offers students the opportunity to present their academic or creative work in a formal conference setting.
Our Keynote Speaker
Our 2025 Keynote Speaker is Dr. Willow White! Dr. White's presentation "Aphra Behn to Ali Wong: 350 Years of Feminist Comedy" will be held on Friday, February 7 at MacEwan University.
Submissions
Submissions for the 2025 ESC are currently closed. Check back here for updates on 2026 submissions.MacEwan's ESC accepts proposals and papers from all English students within Alberta, from any institution! Find the submission form below.Students may submit one (1) academic and/or one (1) creative piece to present at the conference.
General Info
MacEwan's ESC is held annually on campus. MacEwan's ESC welcomes all post-secondary students and faculty in Alberta.The 2025 ESC will be held on February 7-8. Our Keynote Speaker will present on February 7th at 5:00pm, followed by reception. All student presentations will take place on Saturday, February 8th. Please see our panel schedule for more details.
